The completely serious world of a disciplined and endlessly productive author...

S J Collins Garden Shed Appreciation Society

From the back streets of Chiswick, stripped of his self esteem, imprisoned not only by an injustice done to him by his so-called friends, but by the deeper chain of society’s work ethic in the paradox that was the early eighties.  Unable to achieve its demands, and so therefore a lesser man.

From the leafy privilege of Godalming, expelled from three public schools, a childhood of misunderstanding and an over tendency to hit the emotion button, she has found her place with interchangeable front door keys with her mates, unlimited supplies of peanut butter and digging about in canals.  Saving jam jars, saving the planet, Saving Peelip…

Via a rabbit hole in Warwickshire, a campsite in Llandudno, and a customised London cab in Brighton.  A foul-mouthed old lady of the highest pedigree, a plague of frogs and Richard Branson.

Neither of them end up quite how they began…

Saving Peelip About S J Collins

She is a single Mum, abused, wary, focused.  He is a carefree student with a past, a big mouth, a big smile and an emotional heart.  Brought together by a child.  “But such a child as this…”  From cider in the park to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, via Alton Towers, a yellow model Cortina and the Blues Brothers with a wooden spoon.

None of them will ever be the same again…

Somewhere in the late twentieth century, in a time that does not really exist.  Ninety five percent hanging about - the rock ‘n’ roll rollercoaster.  “Buzzing, sweaty, passionate and talented…”    Three bands, two playmates, one drum kit.  The rest is history.

Or it bloody well should have been…
